Rhetoric Samantha enters the fray. Amnesty Intl. is a joke. But Terj Larsen and Wikipedia are ridiculous as well. Whose head should roll and why? Carol has some nice stories. Is disengagement still relevant? The final song is from Jeremy Kaplan. One of the prettiest songs ever, "Kfar Achshav". (Next to "Alison" by Elvis Costello, of course) |

Wrapped in a thinly disguised excuse, Wikipedia deletes Israelisms Podcast from its listings, to the dismay of the show's listeners worldwide. One person's anti-Israel agenda seems enough for the Wikipedia editors to take action. Jerusalem, ISRAEL(PRWEB)August24,2006--Wikipedia has shown a surprising political anti-Israel opinion and booted Israelisms Podcast (http://www.israelisms.com) from its listings. Even after overwhelming support for the retention of the most popular English language podcast broadcast from Israel, the editors today deleted the show from its offerings. Some may have seen it as an advertisement; or Wikipedia shouldn't be political; or it doesn't belong in Wikipedia. But when the entry for "Daily Source Code", which is only an advertisement for DSC and Podshow remains untouched, it makes one wonder. When "Dawn and Drew" are there, it's obvious Wikipedia doesn't concern itself with "family-friendly" issues. When "Nobody Likes Onions" has, as part of their write-up "NLO is very politically incorrect", it's evident the Israelisms situation has nothing to do with all politics. And when "Madge Weinstein" from "Yeast Radio" claims "she" is "also the former lover of Ethel Merman", it's clear Wikipedia has no concern for taste. So, what was it? It's pretty clear that the only entry for a podcast dealing with everyday life and talking about politics from within Israel bothered some people with an anti-Israel agenda, and either Wikipedia folded... or they agree with that agenda.
